Chocolate brownies with a praline pecan topping.
INGREDIENTS:
- Praline Topping
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups chopped pecans
Brownies
- 1 (21-1/2 oz) package Pillsbury fudge brownie mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 egg
PREPARATION:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease bottom only of 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium-low heat; stir in flour until smooth. Add brown sugar and 2 eggs; mix well.Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pecans. Set aside.
In large bowl,combine all brownie ingredients;beat 50 strokes with spoon. Spread in prepared pan. Spoon topping evenly over brownie layer. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until set. Do not over cook. Cool completely and cut into bars. Makes about 2 dozen brownies. Shared on our forum by Cissler.
